Post-Obergefell there emerged the admission that the United States Supreme Court (save for the Dissents) in seeking to legitimate the paradox of homosexual marriage could not appeal to reason, truth, Scripture, tradition, common sense, biology, or the natural law. Justice Kennedy thus has the honor of having written an opinion even sillier than his own in Planned Parenthood v. Casey. We may now see the way clear, should the bishops do their job, to the awakening of many Catholics to the fact that Obergefell has gotten human sexuality and human dignity completely wrong.
