Thou Shall Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbor

Tucker Carlson: The Biden Scandal Is Real And Not Going Away Posted By Ian Schwartz On Date October 30, 2020

TUCKER CARLSON, FOX NEWS: It's been obvious for decades now that the Biden family has gotten rich from selling influence abroad. Joe Biden held a series of high level jobs in the U.S. government. Based on that fact and that fact alone, Biden's son and brother approached foreign governments and companies, sovereign wealth funds, energy conglomerates, Third World oligarchs and dictators, and they offered to exchange favors from Joe Biden for cash. The polite term for that practice is influence-peddling. Sometimes it is legal under American law, sometimes it is not. But it has always been the economic engine of the Biden family. They've never done anything else. Until recently, no one debated this fact. Several liberal news organizations, in fact, have written detailed stories about the Biden secret business dealings over the years. Look them up, assuming you still can. It's only since Joe Biden received the Democratic nomination that anyone in the media has claimed otherwise. This week, we introduced you to one of the Biden family's former business partners, a man called Tony Bobulinski. Bobulinski confirmed more conclusively than anyone ever has what the Bidens have been doing. On two separate occasions, Bobulinski met personally with Joe Biden to discuss the family's business deals in China. Biden has repeatedly denied knowing anything about those deals. Joe Biden is lying, and Tony Bobulinski proved it. It was a major story and not just because it happened here. We only interviewed Tony Bobulinski in the first place because nobody else would. There was a complete media blackout on his story and there still is. In the last three days, and we just checked, the name Tony Bobulinski has not been mentioned a single time on any other television network. Finally Thursday, it fell to J.D. Durkin, an anchor on a small financial news channel called Cheddar, to bring up the story. Here's his exchange with Biden campaign national press secretary Jamal Brown.

DURKIN: There were more accusations made this week on that most-watched Fox News interview a couple of nights ago from Tucker Carlson. Did those meetings happen, as they have been alleged, when Joe Biden was a private citizen?

BROWN: We're not going to waste any time on this smear campaign, because it's just another distraction to distract, again, away from four years of Donald Trump's reckless policies and his failed leadership. And I'm not going to accept the premise of the question. We have five days to keep our eyes on the prize, and again, that is to vote Joe Biden as the next president of the United States.

 DURKIN: OK, fair enough.

"We're not going to waste any time on this smear campaign," says Brown. In other words, "We don't feel like answering a simple fact-based question of relevance to voters in the days before an election. So we're not going to, and we're not embarrassed to admit that we're not going to, because no one has the courage to make us answer, including you." "Fair enough," says Durkin. There you have it. The state of the American news media in October 2020. Keep in mind, Durkin is still one of the bravest people in journalism. At least he asked. sort of. The rest of them pretend it's not really a story, but it is a story and it's not going away. Tonight, James Rosen of Sinclair confirmed that the FBI opened a criminal investigation into the Biden family -- "Hunter, Biden and associates" -- last year, apparently on suspicion of money laundering. That investigation is ongoing. Less than a week before an election, we learn this. What else will we learn? Well, very little if the people in charge have their way. Our professional class has dismissed from day one the revelations about the Biden family as part of a Russian intel operation. There's no evidence for that, no matter how many people repeat it. There never has been evidence. There never will be evidence. It is totally untrue. And yet the public is buying it anyway, we're sad to report. Voters have been cut off from the facts, which, of course, is the point of shutting down the free flow of information. When all the news you receive is manufactured propaganda, you are apt to believe it. Why wouldn't you believe it? You have no alternative. Here are the effects: A new Harris survey out Thursday conducted by longtime Democratic pollster Mark Penn found that 51% of respondents believe The New York Post is disseminating "Russian disinformation." It's hard to imagine a scarier or more depressing result than that. You assume the "Today" show and "The View" and the rest of it is just harmless garbage, but it's not. They are liars and their lies have consequences. How do you maintain a democratic system when reality itself has been banned? That's something we're going to have to figure out. Glenn Greenwald has thought a lot about that question. Greenwald is a traditional leftist committed, above all, to forcing transparency on people who hold power. Years ago, Greenwald co-founded a news site called The Intercept. Thursday, he resigned. In a statement, Greenwald explained why: "The Intercept's editors, in violation of my contractual right of editorial freedom, censored an article I wrote this week, refusing to publish it unless I removed all sections critical of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all New York-based Intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression." Greenwald's full statement is up at an Internet platform called Substack, which is not yet censored. No matter who you plan to vote for next week, we recommend that you read it.

Dancing With Mr. D: Grooming the Little Children

A former pro-transgender activist said she regretted her previous work in pro-transgender activism, adding she felt she was "indoctrinated" on gender ideology in an interview with  Fox News Digital.  "I started to realize that what I had been doing at my job at the LGBT Center, it was grooming," Kay Yang, a former employee of a location in New York, said. Grooming in this context means "to get into readiness for a specific objective." Kay works as a 'deprogrammer' to help parents and children who have been 'indoctrinated' by the 'cult-like' transgender agenda. Yang herself previously went by they/them and worked as a 'trans educator' in schools for years.  Listen to her testimony.

Pope Francis blasts “gender” ideology, quotes Benedict XVI: “this is the age of sin against the Creator!”

Here is an excerpt.  From   Vatican Insider : “In Europe, America, Latin America, Africa and some Asian countries we are seeing some real ideological colonisations,” he repeated. “And one of these, I’m going to say it outright, is  gender ”: “Today, children, children! are told at school that they can choose their sex. Why are they taught this? Because the books are supplied by the people and institutions that give you the money. These are the ideological colonisations backed also by countries that wield a great deal of influence. And this is terrible. Speaking with  Benedict XVI ,” he said, “who is well and lucid, he told me: ‘ Holiness, this is the age of sin against the Creator! ’ He is intelligent! God created man and woman;  God made the world like this, like this, like this… and we are doing the exact opposite. ” Watch video:

Blogging Disciples!

To promote a book I spent years in writing , I began this blog. I am a baby boomer who knows all too little about blogging and the latest techie stuff. As I was perusing various Catholic blog sites, I noticed a post by Fr. Longenecker entitled,   "The Smoke of Satan."  If one troubles oneself to read Fr.'s quite accurate assessment, and becomes interested in just exactly how, according to the Pope who coined the phrase "Smoke of Satan" the Devil made his entrance into the post-Vatican II Church in the U.S., then my book is just what the Savior may have ordered, so why don't you!?

Bishops Bishoping!

As the nation’s courts increasingly strike down popularly-supported state bans on marriage between men who have sex with men, and women who have sex with women, bishops increasingly are “bishoping”, to coin a term I use often in my book; i.e., they are at long last defending the faith against the onslaught always sure to come from the secular culture. Diocesan Catholic schools in Cincinnati and Oakland, Calif., are weathering criticism for contracts that require teachers not only to witness to the faith in the classroom, but also in how they live their lives in the public square. Condemnation of Catholic-school contracts that ask teachers to not controvert the Church in public have received dramatized coverage from the secular media in California and Ohio, where a slight number of teachers are opposing the contractual language. A a teacher in a Catholic school it is heartening to see the dioceses in question standing their ground, emphasizing the dynamic role teachers ...

From the WAPO Compost

Benedict XVI once wrote on the Parable of the Sower and the Seed: “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in his heart; this is what was sown along the path.” Our Lord reminds us here that His teaching on the Kingdom of God in its fullness remains fruitless for those who see the Kingdom as merely an earthly kingdom, having rejected its supernatural dimension. This seed bears no fruit, and its fate is the spiritual fate of the hearer. What the Sisters of Notre Dame DeNamur taught me in my formative years was that there was more to my existence than things temporal, challenging me to work toward holiness and the salvation of my soul Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam   that I might enjoy happiness with Him forever. Here is the lastest example of furuitlessness: Outlook  Perspective Evangelicals and Catholics made their peace. Catholics are paying the price. Some have begun to realize they tra...

Dreaming Sky-High

David Gibson of the Huffington Post in a recent editorial entitled, " Pope Francis' Reforms for The Catholic Church May Be Bigger Than Anyone Dreamed." Here is his piece, with my commments in red: VATICAN CITY (RNS) As Pope Francis approaches the one-year mark of his papacy, his global flock and a fascinated public are starting to measure the changes he is making against the sky-high hopes for transforming an institution many thought impervious to change. Every personnel move and every new proposal is being scrutinized for what it might indicate about the direction of the church, what it might augur about possible adjustments to church teaching and whether the aspirations of so many will be fulfilled — or frustrated. This is unclear- Francis has no authority to change the Deposit of the Faith. Perhaps Gibson is confusing teaching with practice? But as important as such structural and policy moves can be, church leaders and Vatican insiders say the 77-year-old...

NINTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST: Time for Weeping

EPISTLE   (I Cor. 10. 6-13.) Brethren, Let us not covet evil things, as they also coveted. Neither become ye idolaters, as some of them: as it is written: The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and there fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them tempted, and perished by the serpents. Neither do you murmur, as some of them murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer. Now all these things happened to them in figure, and they are written for our correction, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore he that thinketh himself to stand, let him take heed lest he fall. Let no temptation take hold on you, but such as is human: and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that which you are able but will make also with temptation issue that you may be able to bear it. Can we sin by thought and desire? Yes, if we de...

About the Author II

In the years prior to the Second Vatican Council, I also remember attending daily Mass before elementary school, which, because we had fasted for three hours, allowed us to eat breakfast in Mr. Sullivan’s math class. I remember bellowing out Tantum Ergo   at Wednesday Evening Benediction, which I was in the habit of attending with my Mom, siblings and “Gramp,” (her Dad, John). I also remember looking forward to participating in the praying of that most sublime form of prayer, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, with my St. Joseph’s Daily Missal. With Pope Benedict’s having granted permission for priests to offer the Extraordinary form of the Roman Rite, we hear much ado in the form of reaction against this from Catholic “progressives,” and about how the Council placed a new emphasis on the laity’s participation at Mass, the implication being that Catholics did not actively participate at Mass prior to Vatican II, opting for such devotions as the praying of the Rosary or Holy Car...
